Conform site-ului marthastewart.com , cercetatorii de la Universitatea IULM din Italia au facut o descoperire pe gustul nostru. Atunci cand mancam o farfurie de paste starea noastra emotional-cognitiva se imbunatateste semnificativ.
Pentru a realiza acest studiu s-au analizat expresiile faciale, activarile emotionale ale creierului, variatia ritmului cardiac si microtranspiratia a 40 de subiecti cu varste cuprinse intre 25 si 55 de ani, in timp ce mancau paste. Studiul a identificat reactiile participantilor in timp ce gustau o farfurie de paste in comparatie cu ascultarea pieselor lor preferate sau urmarirea unui eveniment sportiv.

Cercetatorii au constatat ca mancarea pastelor provoaca o stare emotional-cognitiva pozitiva, cu aceleasi rezultate ca si cele inregistrate in timpul ascultarii muzicii si vizionarii sportului. O alta concluzie a studiului este ca experienta emoționala de a gusta pastele preferate este asemanatoare cu cea generata de amintiri fericite.

"Prin acest studiu, stiinta s-a pus in slujba emotiilor pentru a certifica ca pastele si fericirea sunt una si aceeasi", a declarat Vincenzo Russo, profesor de psihologie a consumatorului si neuromarketing la Universitatea IULM, intr-un comunicat de presa. "Rezultatele ne arata ca atunci cand mancam paste suntem foarte activi emotional. Prin urmare, actul de a gusta si savura mancarea in toata aroma sa, stimuleaza cele mai pozitive amintiri si emotii."
Studiul a avut insa unele limitari, cum ar fi numarul mic de subiecti si faptul ca inca nu a fost supus recenziei de catre colegii cercatatorilor.
